Apple added a new member to its iPad line today, a Pro version with a 9.7", instead of a 12.9" display, with the same great specs as its larger sibling. The new iPad Pro sports a Retina Display (duh) with 2048-by-1536 resolution, but it adds a True Tone screen functionality with record low reflectance and adjustable calibration for a complete watch-it-on-the-beach experience.You'd still get the boosted A9X chip with 64‑bit "desktop-class" architecture, a quad-speaker audio, and support for the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, but the new iPad Pro 9.7" gets upgraded with Apple's best 12MP iSight camera with 4K video and True Tone flash, as well as with a new 5 MP FaceTime HD camera with Retina Flash, all borrowed from Apple's latest and greatest iPhones. Does that mean you can take the iPad Pro 9.7" with you on a concert, in addition to its stellar color presentation and graphics abilities? You bet, and it also starts you off from a cheaper place than the 12.9" version, as you can see in the table below.
