Launch of Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C three months away in China

Chinese business paper First Financial Daily had some bad news to pass along to its readers on Friday morning. Apparently the Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C won't launch in China until November 28th. The delay is due to the handsets' lack of approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The report also notes that the Qualcomm radios inside both phones will support China Mobile's proprietary network which up to now has kept the iPhone off of the world's largest carrier. The buzz around the water cooler is that Apple and China Mobile will come to an agreement near the end of this year that will allow the iPhone to be offered to the huge number of customers on China Mobile's rolls.The Apple iPhone 5S is expected to be the top-shelf "premium" version of the handset, with the Apple iPhone 5 slotted as a mid-range model. The new Apple iPhone 5C, with multiple color choices and done up in plastic, will be the budget priced version of the iPhone. September 10th is when we expect to see Apple take the wraps off its new phones with the actual U.S. launch rumored to take place September 20th.
