LG looks to sell 75 million phones in 2013 including a few Windows Phone 8 models?

One of LG's local partners in Korea opened his mouth and let loose some information that we're not sure LG wanted to make public. The info was given to the Korean Times which reports that the manufacturer will sell 75 million handsets in 2013, up from 55 million in 2012. 45 million of the handsets released this year will be smartphones with the balance being budget and feature models.According to the information received by the paper, there will be some new Optimus devices launched along with some new smartphones that will be powered by Windows Phone 8. A new 5.5 inch Android powered FHD handset is expected to be introduced next month at MWC in Barcelona. Currently, the LG Optimus G is the OEM's flagship phone. And while there is speculation that LG has stopped producing the impossible to find Google Nexus 4 smartphone, the company is rumored to be replacing its first Nexus device with the next-gen Nexus handset.According to executive for LG's business partner, the manufacturer shipped 41.2 million phones in the first 9 months of 2012 with 15 million estimated to have been sent out in the fourth quarter.
