PSA: Pokemon Go bug transforms Pokemon after capture
Several users took to the Pokemon Go subreddit to complain that a bug in the game is causing creatures to transform after they've been captured inside a Poke Ball. The game displays a certain Pokemon, but when users catch it with a Poke Ball, a different creature is added to the collection.
Interestingly, this Pokemon Go can both help and damage your collection; some users report that catching a Caterpie resulted in a Charizard being added to the collection while others have been misled into using their last Poke Ball on lesser creatures such as an Ekans.If you're playing the game using the free Poke Balls that are provided, then this Pokemon Go bug is a minor nuisance. For those who spend money on additional Poke Balls, however, burning through resources to catch the unintended Pokemon can be the source of major disappointment.
