Red ones go faster: a red-colored version of the BlackBerry Passport breaks cover, coming later in 2

Publish date: 2024-05-29

BlackBerry's intriguing BlackBerry Passport is already on the shelves and, apparently, better than its maker had initially hoped for. Should you decide to opt for the unorthodox device with a QWERTY keyboard that also doubles as a trackpad, you'll have to wave goodbye to $599 of your hard-earned money. For this sum of money, you get a 1440 x 1440-pixel 4.5” display, a 13MP rear camera, Snapdragon 801, 3GB of RAM, and a 3,450mAh, with BlackBerry OS 10.3 sprinkled atop the whole shebang. You can only get its black version at the moment, with a more premium gold edition and white-color variation already revealed, but it seems that BlackBerry has one more color option in store for the potential adopters of the Passport – a red one.

The red-colored Passport will land on the market on December 25, alongside the white version of the device, and both will retail for $599. However, both novel color version are not yet available for pre-order on Amazon, so don't hold your breath just yet.
