Great device for the price and features.

Phone owned for less than a month

When the XZ came out it was certainly not as impressive as competing devices based on specs.... And if you take asking price into consideration, it quickly became ludicrous...

HOWEVER, after some month and the newer "s" version, the asking price for the european version (Dual Sim, 64GB, Fingerprint Enabled) can be found at less than $500 on Amazon. This price is very interesting because you are actually getting your money worth.

I am coming from an Xperia Z3 Compact and this is my first "Big" phone and it feels unwieldy, however the curved sides and flat bottom makes it comfortable to hold in one hand. I do miss the eyelet hole for wrist strap found in older Xperias, but the Ringke Fusion case solved that issue.

What I can't comment is the experience on this with an older Android version, because I immediately upgraded to the latest one. Which allegedly has worse battery life, but I really couldn't tell...

On my second day of use (after everything settled down) I got around 4 hours of SOT with a huge drain of "Phone Idle" service... However I expect this to either solve itself or fix with a firmware version. Either way, I managed to get a full day of use, from 6:30AM to 11:30PM without plugging it.

I took a point from build quality because the SIM/microSD tray is very flimsy.
The UI speed is ok, but sometimes is not as fluid as I expected.

The camera is AWESOME, a tad noisy in dark environments, however, if you know a little bit of photography, leaning it against something and using manual mode with a slow shutter create incredible pics.

I will update later on and elaborate more on each topic of this review.

So far, I like it a lot (I don't love it, but it is a great overall device)
